Our Story & Values

Sundew Painting South Inc., headquartered in Harbeson, Delaware, is a family-owned painting company built on generations of craftsmanship, pride, and hard work since 1948.

Our story began in 1948 when Dino Nardo and Nick Nardo's great uncle purchased Sundew Painting from Frank Robino Builders. In the early 1970s, the business was passed down to the next generation when their father, "Sonny" Nardo, took ownership from his uncle and continued building the company's reputation for quality and reliability throughout the community.

As Sonny retired, the torch was passed once again — and today, Nick and Dino Nardo proudly lead the next generation of the family business. Recently, Sundew Painting has transitioned into two companies: Sundew Painting South, serving Sussex County, Kent County, Maryland's Eastern Shore, and the beach communities of Rehoboth, Lewes, and Ocean City; and Sundew Painting North, serving the Wilmington area. This allows each division to better serve its growing customer base while continuing the same long-standing tradition of quality and service the Sundew name is known for.

While tools and techniques have evolved over the years, our core values have remained the same: show up on time, do exceptional work, and treat every project like it's our own.
